The first thing to remember, though, is that eBay itself has little to do with the actual shipping of the products. eBay package shipping time depends upon several factors, such as country of origin, shipping schedule of the carrier, customs, etc. If the product is being shipped from China or Hong Kong, for example, it could take a while. In the end of the day, if you have not received the package in the allocated time frame, you can fill in a non-delivery claim with eBay.
For some sellers, it is a full-time venture and they can ship ASAP (although that doesn't always guarantee fast delivery), while other sellers have additional work and cannot ship instantly. Buying on weekends or holidays can add to the delay, as most postal services are closed on those days.
